Dina Trang

I’m an incoming third year at UCLA majoring in biochemistry. The San Gabriel Valley has been my home my entire life and I absolutely adore the area. I am the middle child in my family and love the fact that I can look up to my older sister and still have the opportunity to be the role model for my younger sibling. As a Program Champion/Summer Intern for the Pasadena Birthing Project’s Summer Learning Institute, I’ve been able to participate in the Millennial Leadership Experience for Racial Health Equity. With this experience, I’ve become more aware of the health disparities today and the actions I can do to help resolve this prevalent problem. This program has further motivated me to pursue a career in the health care arena. My professional goal is to become a pharmacist, particularly in ambulatory care, and to obtain a Masters in Public Health. My interest in pharmacy stems from my passion in both the sciences and community outreach.
