Mimi was born and raised in San Gabriel, California. She is currently a junior at the University of California, Los Angeles. Majoring in International Development Studies, she hopes to travel abroad and gain more hands-on experiences in developing countries in the near future. After becoming a Riordan Healthcare Management Fellow during her first year at UCLA, she developed a strong interest in the healthcare field. During spring of this year, she took on an internship at the Ronald Regan Medical Center where she shadowed a health administrator and assisted her in program management. Mimi is also the Health Fair Co-Director for the Asian Pacific Health Corps, a student-based organization on campus that coordinates free health fair for the Asian Pacific Islander (API) community. One of Mimi’s core values is giving back and she believes that everyone can make a difference in their community if they put their heart into it.
